Welcome The March 2008 meeting of the SMR focuses entirely on Biotherapeutics. This is a field that is emerging as an increasingly important component of drug discovery and development portfolios and is opening-up new and exciting areas of science and technology.For this meeting, we have assembled a group of leading international experts in the fields of antibodies, oligonucleotides, siRNA, vaccines and delivery technologies for biologicals. The state-of-the-art in each of these fields will be described as well as potential future opportunities and the meeting will be equally applicable to active researchers in the area as well as those new to the field.
